On August 28, 2015 East of Avenue will be releasing their self-titled debut EP via Fifth Kid Records and Fontana North.

Originally capturing attention with their debut single 'Paper Planes,' which grabbed ears across the country when it was first heard in Walmart Canada's holiday advertising campaign - the Toronto-based duo (comprised of Noel Thomson and Sean Fischer) have quickly ascended from unknown indie act to charting on iTunes Canada, hitting the #29 position on the Mediabase Hot AC radio charts and being named Bell Media's January 2015 Future Star. With all those wins, they inevitably found themselves on the newly minted Fifth Kid Records - which is founded by The Watchmen's guitarist, and Vapor Music President, Joey Serlin.

Since its release in November 2014,'Paper Planes' has been downloaded over 10,000 times, and the song was added to more than 50 radio stations across Canada. Their new single, 'Army of One,' is an uplifting anthem of self empowerment, directed especially towards those who are feeling isolated and alone. Produced by Tim Abraham (whose credits include music by Grand Analog, Royal Wood, Peter Katz), the song is powerful and infectious, with a hook that will immediately become stuck in your head and lyrics that are calling for you to sing along. With overwhelming support at Canadian radio, 'Army of One' has recently entered the Top 40 on the Mediabase Hot AC Charts, and continues to sit at #1 on the Futures BDS Hot AC Spins Chart.

With songs that continue to inspire and a Canadian tour in the works - East of Avenue is poised to become Canada's most buzz-worthy new artist.
